Privacy policy

ModelScaleWorks performs scale calculations in your browser. Nothing entered in the Project Worksheet is uploaded or synced by the Device saves feature.

Device saves

Saving is optional and happens only when you select Save on this device. The site stores a schema version, opaque record ID, created, updated and expiry timestamps, conversion mode, source and target scale, ruler precision, project name, item names, X/Y/Z dimension strings and units in this browser profile's localStorage.

Device saves stay in this browser profile. Anyone using the same profile may see them, so do not save project details on a shared or public device. They are not an account backup and do not move to another browser, device or profile.

Retention and deletion

Each manual save expires 90 days after it is created or overwritten, using this device's clock. Loading or viewing a save does not extend that period. Browser settings, private browsing, storage pressure, profile deletion or manual clearing may remove saves earlier.

You can delete one saved worksheet, delete all saved worksheets or remove damaged saved data from the Device saves area. Browser or profile controls can also clear localStorage.

Information currently collected

No account, analytics, advertising, payment or external contact-form service is currently connected. The current Device saves implementation does not use cookies, IndexedDB, Cache Storage, network requests or service workers to store or transmit worksheet fields.

Browser printing

Choosing Print worksheet opens your browser's print function. Device saves and confirmation dialogs are excluded from print. The site does not receive or store the printed content.

Future services

If analytics, advertising, cookies or a contact service is added later, this policy will be updated before those services are enabled.

Questions

The Contact page states the currently available contact method and whether any message service is active.
